Woman Airlifted to Hospital After Two-Vehicle Collision on Route 19

North Strabane Township, PA (August 31, 2017) – Police officers from North Strabane Township reported that a 26-year-old woman, of Peters Township, was transported to an area hospital via a helicopter after being involved in a two-vehicle collision on Route 19 Tuesday afternoon.

The report showed that the woman drove her SUV southbound on Route 19 when she hit a tri-axle truck on the back. The driver of the truck was waiting to turn left onto Conklin Road. The report showed the collision occurred a little after 2 p.m. August 29.

After the collision, first responders arrived at the scene and had to extricate the woman from her vehicle. She was transported to Allegheny General Hospital via helicopter.

The woman’s name is withheld prior to notification of her family.

The collision shut down Route 19, near Racetrack Road and Route 519, pending an investigation by authorities. After an hour, the road was reopened.
