Upper Hanover Township, PA (July 23, 2018) On Monday, around 4:45 p.m., a hit-and-run collision occurred on Route 663 in Montgomery County. A vehicle rear-ended a driver named William Bender near Northgate Boulevard. After being rear-ended, Bender’s car ended up in the other lane, which caused another vehicle to hit his car.
Bender died at the scene. The EMS transported the driver in the oncoming lane for moderate injuries. The driver who caused the collision drove away north on Quakertown Road toward Pennsburg. Witnesses described the driver’s vehicle as being an orange or brown color, or a faded red. Pennsylvania State Police are on the hunt to arrest the driver.
The most common cause for hit-and-run accidents is that most drivers don’t have auto insurance, their vehicle is not registered, or they’re driving a stolen vehicle. By appearances, hit-and-run accidents appear to be too complex; however, that is far from the truth. An experienced lawyer can help injured victims receive compensation for their damages and losses.
Because the collision killed Bender, Bender’s family could pursue a wrongful death lawsuit.
