Holidays are typically a fantastic way to bring loved ones together, although they often lead to busy roads and highways. And the more populated the roads are, the better the chances of an accident can become. Around 7:15 this evening, as the holiday was winding down, three people ended up suffering injuries from a motor vehicle accident that occurred in Butler Township.
The accident happened at the intersection of Route 8 and Cooledge Street when a man driving a Dodge Sedan T-boned two people in a Jeep Cherokee. Fire officials removed the driver’s side door of the Jeep in order to assist both the male driver and his female passenger. Although the two were not entrapped in the Jeep, fire officials decided that this was the safest option in order to not further harm either victim.
The Butler City Fire Department and Township police were on the scene, and all three occupants of both vehicles were promptly taken to Butler Memorial Hospital by ambulance for their injuries. As of right now, none of the injuries sustained seem to be too severe, and a police investigation is currently being conducted.
