1 Hospitalized in Lower Merion Train Crash
Merion, Pennsylvania (September 4, 2017) – A teenager was hospitalized after being struck by an Amtrak Train in Montgomery Township on Sunday afternoon, according to authorities.
The crash took place just before 3 p.m., at the Merion Station on Merion Road and Highland Avenue in Lower Merion.
The train was passing the station when the female teen was struck.
The girl sustained serious injuries in the crash.
It was not yet known what the teen was doing when she was hit by the train.
Limited details regarding the identity and the condition of the victim were available at the time of the report.
Officers are still investigating the crash to determine the cause and liabilities.
