Tea M. Woods, 23, Killed in Delaware County Route 23 Two-Car Crash

Delaware County, Pennsylvania (August 27, 2017) – Tea M. Woods, 18, of Newark, was killed when a vehicle he was riding in collided with a tractor trailer in Delaware County on Saturday morning.
The crash happened shortly after 5 a.m. Saturday, August 26 on Route 23 near Main Road in Troy Township, Delaware County.
State Highway Patrol says a 2001 Jaguar S-Type being driven by Austin R. Guy, 20, of Newark was southbound on the highway when it crossed the centerline and struck a northbound 2007 Freightliner driven by Verne E. Thompson, 50, of Michigan.
Woods, who was the only passenger in the Jaguar was pronounced dead at the scene.
Thompson, however, sustained minor injuries and was treated at the scene, while Austin suffered non-life threatening injuries and was taken to Ohio Health Grant Medical Center.
The incident is under a police investigation.
