Multi-Vehicle Crash in Taylor Township

Taylor Township, PA (August 5, 2018) On Sunday, around 5:00 pm, a multi-vehicle crash occurred on South Eagle Valley Road. Officials state that a 52-year old man, named Dean Korman, drove his motorcycle northbound when another driver, Michael Boyles, did not see the motorcycle approaching and turned left in front of Korman. Korman turned his motorcycle to the right to avoid colliding with Boyles; however, he ended up colliding with a pickup truck instead. Korman also had a passenger riding with him. Her name is Blanca Rincon. Unfortunately, Korman suffered fatal injuries. The EMS transported Rincon to UPMC Altoona for serious injuries. Boyles did not obtain any injuries.

Motorcycle accidents are highly dangerous and almost always leave motorcyclists suffering some type of injury. Injuries range from severe, to catastrophic, to fatal. Motorcyclists are more prone to receive injuries than anyone else in a collision because their bodies are exposed to harm. Officials state that Korman and Rincon both wore helmets, which is not enough to protect the rest of their limbs from damage. The most common injuries are brain damage, head injuries, internal injuries, broken bones, and spinal cord injuries. Because Rincon is suffering serious injuries, she can file a personal injury lawsuit with the help of a personal injury attorney.

It’s unfortunate that Korman lost his life in the collision, especially since he did his very best to avoid getting hit in the first place. With the help of an experienced lawyer, his family could pursue a wrongful death lawsuit.
