Stanley Choynacky and Sandy Choynaky Sustain Minor Injuries in East Brunswick Township Crash
Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania (August 30, 2017) – Two people were injured after two cars collided in East Brunswick Township on Saturday, according to troopers.
The accident took place at 2:45 p.m. August 26, on Indian Run Road in Schuylkill County.
Troopers mentioned that Shannon M. Katterman, 34, of New Ringgold, was trying to turn left onto Indian Run Road from a driveway when he failed to yield the Right of Way and pulled into the path of a 2004 Ford Escape driven by Stanley C. Choynacky, 61, of Philadelphia.
Katerman was driving a 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe and hit the Ford with its front end.
The Ford was pushed into the westbound lane, and the Chevrolet finally stopped against the front quarter panel of the Ford.
Choynacky had a passenger on board, Sandy Choynacky, 67, and both sustained minor injuries from the crash and were treated at the crash site.
Volunteers from New Ringgold Fire Company helped at the scene.
Katerman was cited by troopers.
An investigation into the incident is still underway.
