A car crash late last night in Lancaster County sent two people to the hospital with serious injuries. The motor vehicle accident happened on W. Church St. in Cocalico Township around 9:00 p.m. Police were called to the scene of the crash where one person was reportedly trapped in their vehicle.
The accident involved two cars, a Toyota Prius and a Honda Accord that were heading in opposite directions. According to police, the driver of the Prius was heading westbound when the vehicle veered over into the other lane and crashed into the oncoming Accord. The head-on collision caused the driver of the Accord to be entrapped in the vehicle. While the driver of the Prius was not entrapped, both drivers are currently suffering from very serious, possibly catastrophic injuries. Both drivers were rushed to Tower Health Reading Hospital Trauma Center.
