School Bus Crash in South LebanonAll accidents involving children are among the scariest kind. Sadly, several parents were given quite a fright today when a school bus rolled over after being struck by a pickup truck. The motor vehicle accident occurred at the intersection of Metro Drive and Birch Road in South Lebanon at approximately 2:15 p.m. Monday afternoon. Thankfully, only one child received any injuries.

According to police, a pickup truck that was towing a large piece of construction equipment slowed down at the intersection but failed to make a complete stop. The truck proceeded to crash into the bus, subsequently causing it to roll onto its left side. The bus was only carrying the driver plus three students, and only one student was reported injured. That child was taken to WellSpan Good Samaritan Hospital and is reportedly only suffering from minor injuries.

The conditions of all those involved being relatively minor is certainly a blessing considering the typically harsh nature of most large vehicle and trucking accidents. Often times when a small truck or car crashes into a large school bus, there are serious or even catastrophic injuries if not worse.

At Edelstein, Martin & Nelson, we recognize the importance of keeping children safe on the road.
