Rider Hospitalized in Motorcycle Accident at Route 505 and Young Road in Millcreek Township

Millcreek Township, Pennsylvania (September 21, 2017) – A male rider was hospitalized after his motorcycle was involved in a collision Wednesday morning in Millcreek Township, according to Millcreek police.

The traffic accident happened at roughly 7:20 a.m. Wednesday, September 20 at the intersection of Route 505 and Young Road.

As per the report log, a Lincoln Navigator traveling east on Young Road was stopped at a stop sign. It then proceeded into the intersection and collided with a motorcycle headed north on Route 505, causing the motorcycle to strike a guardrail. The man riding the motorcycle was ejected and thrown about 20 feet down an embankment.

The male rider suffered unspecified injuries and was shuttled by Millcreek Paramedic Service to UPMC Hamot for treatment.

Meanwhile, the Lincoln driver was not injured in the incident.

An investigation into the accident is still ongoing by the authorities.
