DUI Driver Crashes Car on Rt. 78 Killing 2 Grandchildren
Lower Saucon, Pennsylvania (August 17, 2017) – Pennsylvania State Police have confirmed that a woman was under influence of drugs when she crashed her car on I-78 killing her two grandchildren.
The woman identified as Nadine Walton, 55, of New Jersey was high on marijuana when the fatal crash occurred.
Walton was charged with homicide by vehicle while under the influence and is yet to surrender to authorities.
5-year-old Ravon Robinson died at the scene while her 2-year-old sister, Brielle Robinson died days later at Lehigh Valley Hospital.
Several open containers of alcohol were discovered in her car after the crash. All the passengers in the vehicle were wearing seatbelts.
Watson was driving her 2011 Nissan Versa on I-78 when for unknown reasons she veered off to the left side of the highway. She attempted to steer back to her lane but lost control of the car hitting the guardrail.
Two other vehicles then collided with the Nissan.
The passengers of the other vehicles were transported to Lehigh Valley Hospital where they were treated and released.
