Pickup Truck Collision in North HuntingdonAt approximately 7:20 this morning, two pickup trucks collided with one another on Route 993 in North Huntingdon, PA. The motor vehicle accident happened when the two vehicles crashed into each other, causing the death of one driver, and the serious injuries of another. Unfortunately, a 52-year-old man died at the scene, although his name will not be released until after the family has been notified. The driver of the other truck who survived the accident is currently being treated at AHN Forbes Hospital in Monroeville.

In this particular accident, icy conditions are being blamed as the reason for the wreck. Regardless of the reasons, authorities had to close the road, temporarily, in order for firefighters and police to competently secure the scene between Bakers school and Haywood roads. No matter what, the surviving driver is currently hospitalized for potentially catastrophic injuries. Police Lt. Rodney Mahniske stated that the driver who perished in the crash was also the one who caused it as his truck seemingly lost control, veered into the opposite lane, and subsequently, slammed into the survivors’ vehicle.

In any event, no one can dispute the horrific nature of this accident, and at Edelstein, Martin & Nelson, we fully understand that most victims are simply on the receiving end of some terribly unfortunate circumstances.
