Pickup Truck Driver Injured in Parked Car Collision on Carsonia Avenue

Pennside, PA (September 4, 2017) – A pickup truck that rear-ended a parked box truck on Carsonia Avenue Friday afternoon ended up injuring the driver.

As reported by police from Central Berks Regional Police, the crash occurred around 2:10 p.m. September 1 in front of Carsonia Car Care, 800 Carsonia Avenue in Pennside.

The pickup truck crashed into the back of a Snap-On Tools delivery truck that was legally parked on the street. As a result of the impact, the cab of the pickup truck became wedged underneath the delivery truck.

The driver of the pickup truck sustained significant injuries.  He was brought to Reading Hospital via ambulance.

Initial reports came from a witness who claimed that a passenger was inside the pickup truck at the time of the crash. This turned out to be inaccurate.
