Northumberland County Man Seriously Injured in Frailey Township Crash
Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania (August 27, 2017) – A Northumberland County man sustained serious injuries after two vehicles collided in Frailey Township on Thursday morning, according to state police.
The incident took place at about 5:40 a.m. August 24, on Interstate 81 in Schuylkill County.
A man identified as Peter M. Kulik III, 33, from Kulpmont driving a 2006 Dodge Charger at high speed crashed into David A. Tucker, 31, 0f Edwardsville, Luzerne County driving a tractor trailer.
The Charger crashed into the rear of the trailer, wedging underneath it. Tucker pulled to the side of the road pulling the Charger with the trailer.
Troopers mentioned that Kulik managed to come out of the car despite the severity of the accident. He was taken to Lehigh Valley Hospital, Pottsville Campus with suspected critical injuries. Tucker was not injured in the incident.
The Charger was heavily damaged and was towed, and the tractor trailer was driven from the crash site.
Kulik was cited for driving at an unsafe speed.
An investigation into the wreck is underway.
