A pedestrian who was walking down the street early this morning in North Philadelphia is now suffering from catastrophic injuries after being struck by a car. Walking down the street can be dangerous during daylight hours, let alone before sunrise. And the accident, which took place around 4 am this morning, proved exactly that.
Police say the victim was hit by the vehicle in the 3800 block of Front Street between Erie Avenue and Luzerne Street. As of right now, there are no charges being filed against the driver of the car who stayed at the scene of the accident and was reportedly free of injuries. Albeit, charges are likely to follow as they so often do after a motor vehicle accident. The victim was immediately rushed to Temple University Hospital and is currently listed in critical condition.
