SUV's Crash in Cobbs CreekAn accident occurred today in the Cobbs Creek section of Southwest Philadelphia when two SUV’s collided, causing one of the vehicles to roll over onto its roof. The crash happened at the intersection of Washington Avenue and 59th Street around 3:00 this afternoon. Many motor vehicle accidents of this nature often result in death, although in this case, all victims were fortunate enough to survive.

Of course, things could have been much worse as the big part of this story is that the passengers, which included two small children, were pulled from the wreck by a group of teens who witnessed the accident. Witnesses said the teens broke windows and doors in order to pull a mother and her two kids from the smoking, overturned SUV. Although some serious, even catastrophic injuries may have occurred, authorities say that all victims (multiple children, and two adults) are currently recovering from their injuries. Both adult victims were taken to Penn Presbyterian Hospital while all children were rushed to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.
