Motorcycle Crash in Mercer CountyA motor vehicle accident involving a man on a motorcycle is making headlines in East Lackawannock Township this morning. The crash happened last night around 11:00 p.m. when Gary Anderson, 39, was driving his motorcycle down the 600 block of Perry Highway. The Mercer County crash has left many wondering about the extent of injuries.

According to police, Anderson was heading down Route 19 with his passenger, Charlene Janke of Slippery Rock. Both were thrown from the motorcycle when it crashed. A medical helicopter was called in to fly both victims to safety. Each victim was promptly taken to Elizabeth Hospital to be treated for their injuries. Anderson of Mercer is being treated for life-threatening, catastrophic injuries. The condition of the passenger, Janke, has not been released but is said to be non-life threatening at this time.
