Matthew Gowen, 13, Victim in Fatal Pedestrian Accident on South Salem Church Road in Dover

Dover Township, California (September 22, 2017) – 13-year-old Matthew Gowen has been identified as the Dover Intermediate School Student who was killed in a pedestrian accident Thursday evening in Dover Township, according to a local news source.
The fatal accident took place at approximately 7:30 p.m. Thursday, September 21 on South Salem Road near Amy Avenue.
Northern York County Regional police stated that four children were walking and standing along the shoulder with what was described as an elliptical machine when a minivan came and struck the machine together with Matthew.
Matthew suffered grave injuries and was pronounced dead.
Meanwhile, the 35-year-old driver of the involved vehicle and the other three children were not injured in the accident.
An investigation into the deadly incident is ongoing.
