Yesterday morning, a 21-year old Andreas man by the name of Matthew Fannock was killed at the scene of an accident. He died after succumbing to his injuries after a vehicle rollover. Fannock was the passenger in a vehicle with two other people. The driver of the vehicle was traveling south, went off the left side of the road, and drove the car onto an embankment. The vehicle rolled over and killed Fannock instantly, who was not wearing a seatbelt at the time.
Like the case of Matthew Fannock, many unfortunate rollover accidents end with fatalities. When it comes to fatal accidents, head-on collisions take the number 1 spot, while rollover accidents come in number 2 at a close second. Light passenger cars and sports utility vehicles are known for easily rolling over in accidents, which could cause a driver or passenger to be ejected from the vehicle, especially when they have not been wearing a seatbelt. When a vehicle hits a curb or a bump, the vehicle will usually roll forward or to the side. However, a small percentage of these accidents also have to do with defects. Though it is clear that this accident was caused by the negligence of the driver involved, there are many ways these accidents can occur.
Either way, when you have lost a loved one in an accident, you have the right to pursue compensation. This is especially true when the case has caused your loved one to suffer and you have received a variety of bills relating to the accident. Perhaps now you are juggling your loved one’s medical bills or you had to pay for their funeral unexpectedly. No matter what has happened, you have a right to pursue a claim.
