Woman Killed in Hazleton 2-Vehicle Collision
Hazleton Township, Pennsylvania (August 30, 2017) – One person was killed in a 2-vehicle crash in Hazleton, Luzerne County, on Tuesday afternoon.
The accident happened at about 3:30 p.m. August 29, on Route 924 at Interstate 81 ramp.
According to the police, the fatal collision involved a car and a tractor trailer. The car reportedly failed to stop at a red light and collided with the tractor trailer.
The car driver, identified as 25-year-old Marleny C. Guzman of Hazleton, was killed in the collision. Johanna Marmolejos, 23, of Hazleton, who was a passenger in the car sustained injuries and was transported to Geisinger Wyoming Valley Hospital in unknown condition.
The driver of the tractor identified as 62-year-old Ronnie L. Speegle, of Tyrone and his passenger, Bria L. Speegle, 44, of Griffin was not injured in the crash.
