Lisa Osanick Dead and Justin Smith Hurt after Motorcycle Collides with Pickup Truck in Lemont Furnace
Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania (August 23, 2017) – Police have released the identity of a woman killed on Sunday in a motorcycle crash involving a pickup truck occurred in Hempfield, according to State Police.
The deadly incident took place at about 9:10 p.m. August 20, at Bridge Street and New Stanton Ruffsdale Road in Westmoreland County.
A female passenger of the motorcycle identified by state police as Lisa Ozanick, 34, from Fayette County died after being flown to UPMC Presbyterian in Pittsburg.
The motorcycle rider, Justin Smith, 28, of South Huntingdon, was transported to Forbes Hospital in Monroeville with injuries described as serious. Ozanick and Smith had their helmets on during the crash, according to police.
Occupants in the truck were not hurt.
An investigation into the incident is underway.
