Passenger Injured in Lancaster 2-Vehicle Crash
Lancaster, Pennsylvania (September 1, 2017) – Two vehicles collided at Lancaster and East Sunhill Roads injuring one person.
According to Northern Lancaster Regional Police, the collision happened at about 8:23 a.m. August 30.
Officials recovered two vehicles at the scene of the accident, a red Ford Fusion and a van. The Ford had a front end damage while the van had suffered significant damage to the rear bumper.
The police reports indicate that the Ford, which was southbound on Lancaster Road, rear ended the van. The van apparently had a green light and had slowed down due to traffic at the intersection.
The van was being driven by Tesfaye Chala while Derek Tenbrink Jr. was driving the Ford.
Both drivers were unhurt in the collision. An unidentified passenger in the van, however, sustained injuries of unknown extent and was transported to a hospital in the area.
A police investigation is yet to be concluded, but Tenbrink has so far been cited for careless driving.
