Woman Sustains Serious Injuries in Luzerne County Auto-Pedestrian Accident
Luzerne County, Pennsylvania (August 19, 2017) – A jogger was hit and sent flying about 50 feet in Wilkes-Barre on Wednesday evening, according to officials.
The accident took place at about 5 p.m. August 16, at the intersection of West Northampton and River Streets.
The woman was transported to a hospital with a broken leg and other injuries.
The driver of the car involved stopped.
Limited details regarding the cause and the identity of the victim were available at the time of the report.
The incident remains under an investigation by authorities to determine its cause and liability.
