Car Collides with Port Authority Bus Killing Jennifer Sprowls in Dravosburg
Dravosburg, PA (September 4, 2017) – The woman who was killed when the vehicle she was driving crashed with a Port Authority Bus in Allegheny County Saturday morning has been identified as 41-year-old Jennifer Sprowls.
The Allegheny County police reported that Sprowls drove her vehicle southbound on Pittsburgh-McKeesport Boulevard when she lost control of her car, hit a guardrail, and a Port Authority bus. The incident occurred after 8:30 a.m. September 2.
A medical examiner who arrived at the scene identified the victim and pronounced her dead.
In a written statement, police said that Sprowls did not wear a seatbelt and was talking to a coworker on her phone. The entire incident was recorded on a video from the bus.
The driver of the bus was transported to UPMC Mercy for medical assistance. Fortunately, there were no other passengers on the bus.
The fatal crash is being investigated by Port Authority Police.
