Injuries Sustained in Penn Township Two-Vehicle Collision

Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania (August 17, 2017) – Two cars collided and sheared a utility pole knocking down wires and closing part of Route 130 on Wednesday, according to a Westmoreland County Emergency Management dispatcher.

The incident took place at about 1:20 p.m. August 16, on Route 130 between Warrior Court and Walnut Street near Harrison City in Penn Township.

The accident interrupted the power of up to 20 customers. Service was expected to be back at 5 p.m., as per West Penn Power’s online outage center.

Injuries were reported, but limited information on the number of injured and the extent of injuries was available.

An investigation into the incident is underway.
