Girl Killed after Being Hit by Vehicle on Nazareth Road near Kingston Road in Palmer Township

Palmer Township, Pennsylvania (September 23, 2017) – A 12-year-old girl lost her life after she was involved in an auto-pedestrian accident Friday evening in Palmer Township, according to a local news source.
The fatal incident transpired at around 8:00 p.m. Friday, September 22 on Nazareth Road, just south of Kingston Road.
As per the article, the girl was walking along the southbound shoulder of the 3400 block of Nazareth Road when she was struck by a vehicle. The manner of the accident was not explained.
The girl was rushed by Suburban EMS to Easton Hospital for treatment before she was transferred to Lehigh Valley Hospital in Salisbury Township, where she succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead.
Meanwhile, the driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with police officers.
An investigation into the cause of the accident is still ongoing by the authorities.
