Route 88 Three-Vehicle Crash Kills Frank E. Cettin and Sends 2 to Hospital
Greene County, PA (September 4, 2017) – A man was killed in a three-vehicle crash that occurred Thursday morning on Route 88 in Monongahela Township.
According to the Pennsylvania State Police, the collision occurred around 8 a.m. August 31 on Route 88, near Second Street. The report showed that 57-year-old Frank E. Cettin, from Bobtown, was driving his minivan north on Route 88 when it crossed into the opposite lane. This caused his vehicle to hit the side of a southbound vehicle driven by 43-year-old Shawn M. Stiles, from Carmichaels.
The impact sent Cettin’s vehicle northbound, where it hit the side of a second vehicle, a southbound SUV driven by 57-year-old Joy L. Stouffer, from Garards Fort.
Cettin was declared dead at the scene by Deputy Coroner Bill Lewis. The other two drivers were transported to Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, W. VA. via an ambulance. There was also a four-year-old girl, who was a passenger in Stouffer’s vehicle. She sustained a minor injury.
By Friday afternoon, Stouffer was said to be in fair condition by a hospital spokeswoman. Stiles had already been released from the hospital.
