Girl Killed in Collision after Getting Ice Cream with Siblings in Northampton County
Easton, Pennsylvania (September 25, 2017) – Emma Raymondo, 12, of Palmer Township, was hit and killed by a car while walking home after getting ice cream with her younger siblings on Friday in Northampton County, according to police.
The deadly accident took place at about 8 p.m. September 22, along the shoulder of Nazareth Road in Easton.
The girl was walking her siblings home along the road when she was hit a few yards from their home. She was pronounced dead later that night at Lehigh Valley Hospital.
Emma was a seventh-grade honor roll student at Easton Area Middle School while her kids go to Tracy Elementary School. Counselors from both the schools were available at the two schools.
Authorities were still investigating the incident.
