Dover Township, Pennsylvania (September 22, 2017) – A student, 13, was hit and killed by a vehicle in York County on Thursday night, as per Northern York County Regional Police Department.
The fatal incident took place shortly before 7:30 p.m. September 21, along the shoulder of the 4800 block of South Salem Church Road in Dover Township.
A minivan traveling northbound hit one of four juveniles who were walking along the Salem Church Road. The vehicle also hit what police described as an elliptical machine.
The student aged 13 years, a student at Dover Intermediate School, was pronounced dead at the crash site. The other three juveniles and the minivan operator were not injured.
The identity of the deceased had not yet been released pending notification of next of kin.

Police are still investigating the crash to determine cause and liability.
