Trucking accidents are almost always severe, but especially when they are involved with a motorcycle or other motorists with limited protection. Last night a young man, 32, from Philadelphia was killed while riding a motorcycle on Lancaster Avenue in the town of Wynnewood. The crash that occurred shortly before 9:00 last night was between the man’s motorcycle and a large box truck that he struck.
According to police, the motorcycle driver was traveling East on Lancaster Avenue when he crashed into the box truck that was making a left turn into the Wynnewood Square Shopping Center. Apparently, the truck driver, 62, and passenger, 24, were not injured in the motor vehicle accident, nor were they impaired as they remained at the scene and provided full cooperation with police. Unfortunately, the motorcyclist was taken to Lankenau Hospital by Narberth EMS where he died from his catastrophic injuries only a couple hours later.
