Crabtree, PA (December 5, 2018) On the evening of December 4th, a two-vehicle wreck occurred on Route 119. According to dispatches from the Westmoreland County Department of Public Safety, a pickup truck collided with a passenger vehicle around 8:15 p.m. When emergency crews arrived at the scene, they found a woman trapped inside of the passenger vehicle. Once they freed her, they flew her from the Crabtree Fire Department to a nearby hospital for treatment. Crews shut down both lanes of Route 119 as they cleared the scene and investigated the accident.
We hope the injured victim recovers quickly from her injuries and is surrounded by supportive family members.
On average, there are about 14 vehicle accidents per hour in Pennsylvania. The reason vehicle accidents are so common is because of negligent driving, which is considered a civil wrong. When drivers attempt to multi-task while they’re on the road, they put others’ lives in jeopardy. It only takes a few moments of distracted or reckless driving for someone to get seriously injured or lose their life. Once the police get to the bottom of what caused this accident, there’s a possibility that the injured woman could file a personal injury lawsuit.
