Construction Worker Injured in KensingtonIf someone takes their time to master the skills needed to be successful in construction, it can be a pretty lucrative career, albeit, a dangerous one if safety on the job is not made a priority. Every construction accident reminds us of that fact, and unfortunately, one such accident occurred this afternoon in the Kensington section of Philadelphia.

Officials say that a 55-year-old man was working when he accidentally fell from a scaffold just shortly before 3 pm today. The drop to the ground was approximately 20 feet, and a fall from that distance can obviously lead to a catastrophic injury if not worse. The accident occurred on Frankford Avenue in the 1400 block, and the exact details are still being investigated. The victim was immediately rushed to Hahnemann University Hospital to be treated for his injuries.
