Several People Injured in Ringgold Street Pedestrian Crash
South Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (September 4, 2017) – Several pedestrians were injured after being struck by a vehicle in South Philadelphia on Monday evening.
The incident happened at just after 4 p.m. September 4, in the 1500 block of Ringgold Street.
According to a local news source, the pedestrians were holding a block party when the accident occurred.
At least three people sustained major injuries while another three were evaluated and treated at the scene.
A woman, 57, was transported to Jefferson Hospital while another 60-year-old woman was rushed to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center for treatment.
More details on the crash are yet to be made available.
Authorities are investigating the incident.
