Erie, Pennsylvania (September 22, 2017) – A 7-year-old boy and an adult male were injured after being struck by a vehicle at an intersection in Erie on Tuesday morning.

According to a local news source, the pedestrian accident happened at about 7:50 a.m. at the intersection of 12th Street and Liberty Street.

According to a report by the police at the scene, a Toyota Avalon which was northbound on Liberty Street was turning left onto 12th Street when it struck the pedestrians.

The boy who suffered a head injury and the man were transported to Pittsburgh hospital for treatment.

The female driver of the vehicle was unharmed and remained at the scene of the accident.

The police are investigating the incident.
