Malvern Train-Pedestrian Crash Injures Teen
Malvern, Pennsylvania (September 3, 2017) – A teenager aged 16 years was hit by an Amtrak train on Saturday while waiting for a SEPTA Regional Rail train into Center City for the Made in America festival, as per a local news source report.
The incident took place at about 1 p.m. September 2, near Malvern Station near King and Warren Streets along the Paoli-Thorndale in Chester County.
According to a report, the teenager is believed to have sustained a glancing blow from the train. The condition of the boy was not clear, but he was conscious as he was being transported by an ambulance to a hospital.
Limited details regarding the identity of the victim were available at the time of the report.
An investigation into the incident is still ongoing.
