Two Car Crash in Blair CountyEach and every motor vehicle accident leaves those involved consumed with a plethora of various woes. This morning, a crash in Tyrone involving two cars left two drivers severely injured. The unfortunate accident happened on Interstate 99 northbound between Exit 48 and Exit 52 in Blair County.

All of the northbound lanes between Tyrone and Bald Eagle were closed down for an unspecified amount of time. According to officials, a car in the southbound lane apparently lost control and crossed over the grass median, subsequently striking an oncoming car in the northbound lane. Witnesses reported to officials that they believe the car lost control due to weather conditions. Catastrophic injuries are a certain possibility as both drivers were immediately transported to a trauma center in Altoona. The cause of the accident is currently under investigation.

There is nothing good about any car accident, and we certainly wish that these types of collisions would cease to be a reality. Unfortunately, negligent drivers alongside honest mistakes continue to occur. Should the investigation prove that negligent operation of a vehicle played a part in the crash, there will at least be some options for one of the victims moving forward.

At Edelstein, Martin & Nelson, we understand that many accidents are unavoidable. While we are certainly hopeful that the victims of this crash will experience a swift recovery, we also realize the tremendous costs involved in every crash.
