Bicyclist Killed in Olney Bicycle-Car Collision
Olney, Pennsylvania (September 1, 2017) – A teenage bicyclist was killed in a hit-and-run accident in Olney on Thursday night.
According to the Philadelphia Police, the collision happened at about 11:45 p.m. August 31, at the intersection of Ashdale and C streets.
The report indicates that the man, 19, was southbound on C Street when he was struck at the intersection by a white car, which was westbound on Ashdale Street.
Paramedics who arrived at the scene confirmed that the victim had suffered serious injuries, and was rushed to St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children. He, however, succumbed to his injuries.
The identity of the victim was withheld pending notification of his next-of-kin.
Police are looking for the driver of the white car, possibly a Honda Civic or Accord, with a dented hood and a damaged windshield.
