Armstrong County Head-on Collision Kills Two

Armstrong County Head-on Collision Kills Two (December 15, 2017) An Armstrong County head-on collision kills two in a gruesome Friday afternoon auto accident.  Two men, the sole occupants of each vehicle were the victims who passed away.

TribLive covered the story and reported the following details:

  • The accident happened at approximately half-past-four on Friday, December 15th on Route 85 in Rural Valley between Line Street and Water Street.
  • The vehicles involved were a Ford Focus and a Chevrolet Silverado. Lowell Dean, age 86 from Dayton was behind the wheel of the Silverado and Jacob Adam Iseman, age 32 was driving the Focus.
  • Police reported that the Silverado crossed the mid-line of the road, hitting the Focus head-on.

The accident remains under investigation and police are not yet sure what caused Mr. Dean’s Silverado to leave its lane or if there were any other factors that impacted the fatal accident.  The road, Route 85, remained closed until nearly 11 o’clock in the evening while police reviewed the crash site.  Police have requested that anyone who witnessed the accident to please contact the Kittanning station.
