6 People Injured in Philipsburg Bus Versus Maintenance Truck Collision near North Hillcrest Boulevard
Philipsburg, Pennsylvania (September 2, 2017) – Several people on a transit bus were injured and transported to a hospital Friday afternoon following a two-vehicle crash in Centre County, according to Philipsburg police.
The incident took place at approximately 2:45 p.m. September 1, on westbound Memorial Parkway, also called Route 22, near North Hillcrest Boulevard in the area of Phillipsburg Middle School in Philipsburg.
As per reports, the Warren County Transportation bus and the Norfolk-Southern truck pulled over in the area below the foot bridge linking the school to Morris Street.
Ambulances arrived at the crash site from the Phillipsburg, Lopatcong Township, Greenwich Township and Easton emergency squads. Six people in total were taken to local area hospitals for examination and possible treatment.
The two vehicles were not heavily damaged.
Philipsburg police continued with an investigation into the incident to determine its cause and liability.
