3 Injured in Traffic Crash on Route 286 in Westmoreland County
Washington Township, Pennsylvania (September 7, 2017) – Three people were hospitalized on Tuesday in Westmoreland County after two cars collided, according to police.
The incident took place at about 4:25 p.m. September 5, at the intersection of Beech Road and Route 286 in Washington Township.
As per police, a Honda CR-V hit a Chevrolet Cavalier when the Cavalier driver attempted to turn left in front of oncoming traffic on Route 286 onto Beech Road.
The operator of the Honda did not have time to slow down when the Cavalier turned.
A male Cavalier passenger was flown to Forbes Hospital in Monroeville. The female operator of the Cavalier and another passenger in the car were taken to Forbes via an ambulance. None of the injuries appeared to be life threatening.
The CR-V driver was not hurt.
