Allentown Two-Vehicle Crash Sends Car into House and Injures 1
Allentown, PA (September 4, 2017) – A car ended up inside a house in Allentown after it was involved in a two-vehicle collision on 13th and Chew streets Saturday afternoon.
According to UGI spokesperson Joe Swope, the collision occurred just after 12:30 p.m. September 2. The two vehicles collided at the intersection and sent one of the vehicles over the sidewalk and directly into a house. The car hit an outdoor gas meter when it struck the building.
Fire officials who arrived at the scene quickly evacuated the two adjoining houses as a precaution for any further incident. The intersection was also closed to traffic by Allentown police.
One person was reportedly taken to the hospital for the treatment of minor injuries sustained in the crash.
Police are investigating the crash.
