Motorist Injured in Swatara Township Two-Truck Collision
Swatara Township, Pennsylvania (September 19, 2017) – One person was injured in a two-truck collision in Swatara Township, Dauphin County, on Monday evening.
According to a local news source, the accident occurred at about 7:45 p.m. September 18, in the northbound lanes of Route 283 road near Exit 2.
According to a report by the officials, one tractor-trailer rear-ended another tractor-trailer that was transporting produce.
Paramedics dispatched to the scene had to extricate one person from one of the trucks before being taken to a local hospital for treatment. The severity of the injuries sustained by the motorist was not immediately established.
The police are investigating the incident which resulted in a major shutdown of the road from around 7:50 p.m. to 11:20 p.m.
